The Long Broad Sword and its variants are the epitome of versatility. They are adequate in attack and defense, can be used as primary or secondary weapons or in off-hands. It is the perfect sword for those who are looking for a cheap, effective entry weapon or for those who are of smaller stature that the Long Swords are too big for.
The broad sword should allow most to keep up with weapons in the same size group, though you might struggle against the longer weapons, such as two-handers, long swords, and polearms!
Get one, or a handful, if you plan on inviting or including more people into your matches, duels, or anything. They can be inexpensive to buy en masse without upgrades and will keep things fair among you and all your friends!
